Mark Clennon’s new EP Foreign is his most honest work to date. This collection of songs explores themes of belonging, relationship ambiguity, the deconstruction of stereotypes, and authenticity. His musical sidekicks, production duo Rainer + Grimm, known most commonly for their work with fellow Torontonian The Weeknd on Wicked Games and Drake’s Shot For Me, and Joey Sherrett (Nate Husser) came together to produce the songs from the EP. This new effort from Clennon is the closest he’s come to expressing himself as a person and an artist through his art as he fully embraces his every facet to the beat of high energy R&B, Caribbean funk, Dancehall vibes and modern Soul-Pop.
